Camp Fire USA’s Teens in
Action
program helps teens, 12-21, make good decisions and develop positive
peer relationships by involving them in high-adventure group activities.

 


In 2004, the program provided over 200 14-15 year olds with jobs
throughout our community. Overall, the program touches the lives of over
1,000 youth each year.

 

Members of
this program have participated in many community service projects,
including:

1. The

Road Rules Service
Trip
included:


Cleaned up national
parks


Assisted on a farm


Collected and donated
goods to a Battered Women�s Shelter


Cleaned up a Galveston
Beach


Cleaned up Camp

Ellowi


2. The “Haunted House”
helped raise funds for the local United Way.

 


3. Volunteering at
Plaza Senior Citizen Center
.

 


4. Delivering hand-made
Valentine Cards to Bryan’s House � a place for kids and family
members affected with HIV.

 


5. Park clean-up
projects as part of Earth Day.

 


6. Volunteering in the
Salvation Army Soup Kitchen.

 


7. Delivering hand-made
Holiday Cards to local nursing homes.

 


8. Conducting a food
drive as part of Camp Fire USA’s national initiative to serve the
homeless.

 


9. Hosting a Car Wash to
raise money for Leukemia patients.

 


10. Serving the homeless
at a local shelter.
