“My kids really loved Camp Ellowi, and I enjoyed the price. As
long as I can afford it, my kids will be coming back. I couldn’t
find any place that was as much fun for the price I paid. Thank
you for having a cost-effective Summer program.”
— Peter
Elsner,
a local parent
“The biggest plus of camp is
that camps help young people discover and explore their talents,
interests, and values. Kids who have had these kinds of (camp)
experiences end up being healthier and have less problems which
concern us all.”
— Dr. Peter Scales,
senior fellow at The Search Institute
Sophie’s Essay
“This is a picture essay about a picture I took at camp in July 2003”
Camp Ellowi
What strikes me when I
get to Camp Ellowi early in the morning is the peacefulness. The aromatic
scent of the cedar and the soft sound of the trees swaying in the breeze are
soothing. As I round the corner of the rustic stone lodge I catch smiles from
familiar faces.
