Kids
Club
:
Apartment-based after school program that provides youth
development programming to low-income families at absolutely no cost to parents.
Currently offered at over 20 sites, these clubs are open every weekday from 3:00
to 6:00 p.m. All school-aged residents are able to attend.

21st
Century Community Learning Centers
:
Camp Fire�s newest program, the
21st CCLC provides after school programs in 10 schools in the Dallas Independent
School District.

Alternative
Education
:
Provides supervision, educational support, counseling and
other services to youth, ages 10 to 17,referred by local justice authorities.

Camping and
Outdoor Education
:
Nestled in southwest Dallas
County�s Cedar Hill area, Camp Ellowi is a 65-acre “outdoor
classroom” that includes cabins, platform tents, a main lodge, a playing
field, a game court, a challenge course, archery, hiking trails, canoeing and a
swimming pool. Camping opportunities include:

Ellowi
Day Camp –
weekly summer day camps for youth ages six years to 15.

Chi
Omega Day Camp –
a week-long day camp experience for economically
disadvantaged youth.

Open
Camping �
a weekend camping experience offered throughout the year
for all Camp Fire members.

Area Day
Camps �
based on traditional club programming, a week-long day camp
offered around the Dallas area.


Teens in Action:
Helps teens, 10-17, make good decisions and develop
positive peer relationships by involving them in high-adventure group
activities. A program funded by a grant from Dallas Work Source. This summer,
the program will provide 33 14-15 year olds with jobs in Camp Fire USA’s
programs. In the fall of 2003, this program will allow 100 youth to learn
valuable job skills through real-world experiences (job shadowing, interning,
etc.).



Traditional Club
:
Camp Fire USA�s traditional program. Members
progress through program levels in groups divided by grade, from kindergarten
through high school. Offers a mix of fun activities, projects, and events that
help participants to develop life skills.
