Camp
Fire Law
Worship
God, (Hmm)
Seek beauty, give service
And knowledge pursue.
Be trustworthy ever,
In all that you do.
Hold fast onto health
And your work glorify,
And you will be happy
In the law of Camp Fire.

Camp Fire Wish
To have fun,
to learn to make all sorts of things,
To remember to finish what I begin,
To want to keep my temper in,
And to learn of nature
and living outdoors,
To have adventures with everyone,
To go to places
And see how it’s done,
And make friends.

Twenty-Six Miles
Twenty-six miles across the sea
Santa Catalina is waiting for me
Santa Catalina…
The island of romance,
Romance, romance.

Blue moon,
you saw me standing alone
Without a dream in my heart
Without a love of my own.

Fish gotta swim, birds gotta fly
I’ve gotta love one man ’til I die
Can’t help lovin’ that man of mine.

Hamburger-Cheeseburger
Hamburger, cheeseburger,
lettuce and tomato,
Baked ham bone,
french fried potato,
Hot dog, chili dog, bar-b-que.

We got mustard, pickles
and Mountain Dew.
We got mustard, mustard, mustard.
We got pickles, pickles, pickles.
And Mountain Dew wouldn’t do
Wouldn’t do, do, do.
Mountain Dew wouldn’t do
Wouldn’t do, do, do.

Barges
Out of my window looking in the night
I can see the barges’ flickering lights.
Silently flows the river to the sea
And the barges do go silently.

Chorus:
Barges, I would like to go with you,
I would like to sail the ocean blue.
Barges, have you treasures
in your hold?
Do you fight with pirates
brave and bold?

Out of my window looking in the night,
I can see the barges’ flickering light.
Starboard shines green and
Port is glowing red
And the light from home
Shines far ahead.

Linger
Um-um I want to linger
Um-um a little longer
Um-um a little longer here with you.

Um-um it’s such a perfect night
Um-um it doesn’t seem quite right
Um-um that it should be my last
with you.

Um-um and come September
Um-um I will remember
Um-um our camping days
and friendships true.

Um-um and as the years go by
Um-um I’ll think of you and sigh
Um-um this is good night
and not goodbye.

(slowly)
Um-um and as the years go by
Um-um I’ll think of you and sigh
Um-um this is goodnight
and not goodbye.

Make New
Friends
Make new
friends, but keep the old
One is silver and the other gold

A circle’s round, and has no end
That’s how long I want to be your friend

Here’s a hand, and here’s another
Put them together and we have each other.

Processional
We come, we come to our council fire
With measured tread and slow.
To light the fire of our desire,
To light the fire of WO-HE-LO.
WO-HE-LO, WO-HE-LO.

The little twinkling stars on high
Are whisp’ring nature lore.
While all about us the soft wind sighs
And Great Wokanda watches o’er.
WO-HE-LO, WO-HE-LO.

Recessional
Go we forth from our council fire
Into the night, into the night.
In our heart renewed desire
Burning bright, burning bright.
Loveliness of thought we’ve found
Warmth and friendship’s love
Forest stillness closes ’round
Sky and stars above.
Blend into the mystic call —
WO-HE-LO, WO-HE-LO.
May Wokanda’s blessing fall
Upon us as we go.

Johnny Rebec
There was a little Dutch boy,
His name was Johnny Rebec.
He made the finest sausages
And sauerkraut and speck.
He made the finest sausages
That ever would be seen,
Until one day he invented
The sausage machine.

Chorus:
O, mister, mister Johnny Rebec
How could you be so mean?
I told you you’d be sorry for
inventing that machine.
Now all the neighbor’s cats and dogs
Will never more be seen.
They’ll all be ground to sausages
In Johnny Rebec’s machine.

One day a little
fat boy
Came walking in the store.
He bought a pound of sausages
And laid them on the floor.
Then he began to whistle,
And whistled up a tune.
And all the little sausages
Were dancing ’round the room.

One day the darn thing busted
And simply wouldn’t go.
So Johnny Rebec hopped inside
To see what made it so.
His wife was having nightmares
And walking in her sleep.
She gave the crank
A heck of a yank
And Johnny Rebec was meat.

Princess Pat
(sung with echo)
The Princess Pat
Lived in a tree
She sailed across
The seven seas
She sailed across
The channel too
And brought with her
A rig of bamboo.

Chorus:
A rig of bamboo
Now what is that
It’s something made
By the Princess Pat
It’s red and gold
And purple too
That’s why it’s called
A rig of bamboo.

Now Captain Jack
Had a mighty fine crew
He sailed across
The channel too
His ship did sink
And yours will too
If you don’t bring
A rig of bamboo.
