CAMP FIRE OFFERS QUALITY, AFFORDABLE SUMMER
DAY CAMP

Camp Ellowi in Cedar
Hill, Texas opens June 1st

DALLAS If you want your
child to be active and outdoors this summer, Camp Fire USA Lone Star
Councils Camp Ellowi may have just what you are looking for. Located just
20 minutes south of Downtown Dallas, Camp Ellowi offers children, ages six
through 15, activities such as canoeing, swimming, hiking, sports, arts
and crafts, and archery. And, of course, no camping experience would be
complete without SMores!  Children have been roasting marshmallows at
Camp Ellowi since 1940.

At camp, kids can put their worries aside and just be kids in
a safe and nurturing environment, said Tim James, executive director of
the Lone Star Council. Youth need to experience the joys of camping in
order to learn more about themselves and discover their own special
talents and interests.

For just $80 a week, boys and girls ages six 12 years old
can enjoy an action-packed week of activities at

Camp Ellowi. Youth ages 13
15 years old can apply to be Junior Aide Counselors, who will assist
guiding younger campers in daily activities, for just $50 a week. Each
additional family member who registers for camp will receive a $10
discount off the cost of registration.

A non-refundable deposit of $25 is required with all
applications in order to secure registration. Early bird discounts apply
if the deposit is paid by May 10. After May 10, the fee for six

12 year olds will be $85 per week and Junior Aide Counselors
will be $55 per week. Deposits will be applied to the total camp fee with
the remainder due prior to the first day of camp attendance. All fees
include a daily nutritious lunch and snack.

Camp Ellowi day camp
operates from June 1 August 6 with weekly sessions from 9 a.m. 4 p.m.,
Monday Friday. Camp will be closed May 31 and July 5. Child care is
provided from 7 9 a.m. and 4 6 p.m. at no extra charge.

Camp
Fire
welcomes and respects the uniqueness of every child, said Mr. James. At
Camp Ellowi children from all backgrounds have the ability to explore a
65-wooded acre outdoor classroom and are encouraged to learn more about
what interests them and sparks their curiosity.
