Discovery is Camp Fire’s
program for boys and girls in 7th and 8th grades. The rainbow is the symbol for
the discovery program because its many colors suggest fun, excitement, and
variety. There are many projects that Discovery members work on as they discover
new interests and new ways to pursue their goals.
- Discover Camp Fire and
Discover Yourself are two projects just for Discovery members. Discover Camp
Fire is a sampling of activities in the Discovery program. Discover Yourself
is an exploration of the inner you. Members take a look at who they are and
who they want to be and explore the peaks and pitfalls of being a teenager. - STAR projects help you
recognize that Service To Another Rewards.
Members discover what they care about and what they can do about their
concerns by taking part in rewarding service projects. - Torch Bearer projects are
passports to discovering more about a topic of special interest. - Other projects include
action crafts, national projects and skill progressions.
