Spending time in an outdoor environment learning new and fun
activities is just one of the many ways we can help our youth achieve this
very important mission. With that in mind, Camp Fire USA Lone Star Council offers an action-packed summer at Ellowi Summer Day Camp.
Boys and girls ages 6 – 12 can participate
in nature activities, swimming, canoeing and archery (for youth ages 8 and
older), arts and crafts, sports and games, outdoor cooking and so much
more all on 65 beautiful wooded-acres conveniently located in Cedar Hill,
Texas.
Theres plenty to do for older youth,
too! Teens ages 13 – 15 can strengthen their leadership skills by joining
the camp as a Junior Aide Counselor (JAC). They will assist in guiding
younger youth in day camp activities. Teens ages 16 -17 are encouraged to
apply for volunteer positions. They will assist day camp staff in daily
activities and provide leadership and supervision skills.
Camp Fire USA offers the best in
professionally trained staff, certified first aid staff and morning and
evening child care at no extra charge (7 a.m. – 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. – 6
p.m.). From June 4 until August 2, day camp is offered Monday through
Friday from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. on a weekly basis.
Registration and Payment:
A
non-refundable deposit of $25.00 is required with application in order to
secure registration. Deposits will be applied to the total camp fee with
the remainder due prior to the first day of camp attendance.
NOTE:
Camp Fire USA welcomes and respects
diversity – the uniqueness of each person – in our youth members, adult
staff and volunteers. For details on registration, session dates, and
refund policy, please call Amy Evans at the Camp Fire USA Lone Star Council,
