Absolutely Incredible Kid Day!

March
20, 2003 Absolutely Incredible Kid Day

DALLAS

Did you know that the world is a better place just
because youre you?

Spending
time with you makes me so happy! I really enjoy when we

Your
greatest strengths are your courage, honesty and sense of
humor. These traits will help you grow into a caring,
confident leader some day.

It
only takes a few kind, encouraging words to create a lasting
impression on a child. This is the cornerstone of Absolutely
Incredible Kid Day, Camp Fire USAs national call to
action for adults to write letters to the children in their
lives.

Celebrated
annually on the third Thursday of each March, the 7th
annual Absolutely Incredible Kid Day will be held on March
20, 2003.

This
national campaign has been recognized by childcare experts,
educators, celebrities, parents and kids everywhere as an
event to inspire adult-to-child interaction.

In
this age of e-mail and cell phones, a personal letter can be a
meaningful treasure for a child, as well as a rewarding
experience for the letter-writer, said Tim James, executive
director of Camp Fire USA Lone Star Council.

Camp
Fire USA Lone Star Councils own goal for the Absolutely
Incredible Kid Day campaign is to deliver a letter to each
of the 7,029 local youth involved in Camp Fire USA each year.
The Lone Star Council also hopes that every adult in the city
will participate in the campaign by writing a letter to the
children in their lives.

Especially
at this time of national unrest, its very important for
adults to offer guidance and inspiration to children, said
James. Every child deserves to know how absolutely
incredible they are in the eyes of the adults who care for
them.

To
help Camp Fire USA Lone Star Council reach its goal, simply
write a letter to the kids in your life. Its a simple
gesture whose impact can last a lifetime. For more information
about Absolutely Incredible Kid Day or to find out how you
