Guidelines
currently
enrolled full-time as an undergraduate;
has
completed his/her freshman year;
is
returning to college as a full-time sophomore, junior or
senior in the fall of 2003;
is
carrying a minimum of 12 credits per semester,

documentation is required upon hiring.
Qualifications
Major or interest in English, Communications, Journalism
or related field and interest in the non-profit sector.
Computer proficiency in Excel, Access, Word, Outlook and
Internet Explorer. Knowledge of QuarkXPress, Adobe
Photoshop and Adobe PageMaker are a plus.
Excellent organizational,
research, writing and communication skills, including
ability to speak with donors on the telephone and in
person.
Energetic
individual with the ability to work under a deadline to
accomplish specific projects.
Must be able to provide
own transporation.
Responsibilities
Assist
the Auction committee in the initial planning of the event.
Generate
fresh ideas for new items, activities and locations for
event.
Assist supervisor in the promotion of the event, including
coordination/writing of press releases and follow up with
promotions, etc.
Assist supervisor in the research and pursuit of grants
from various local and national foundations.
