Camp Fire USA builds more than just campfires.
With the mission to build
caring, confident youth and future leaders, the Lone Star
Council provides programs for boys and girls ages 5 to 21 in the
Greater Dallas area, including after-school programs for
young
children, leadership and workforce
and development programs for teens,
family strengthening programs and weekend
and summer camping programs.
These programs focus on meeting the
urgent needs of youth living in
low-income apartment communities or attending low-performing
schools. Our programs build traditional values, responsible
decision-making skills and positive self images for youth.

Camp Ellowi
What
strikes me when I get to Camp Ellowi early in the morning is the
peacefulness. The aromatic scent of the cedar and the soft sound
of the trees swaying in the breeze are soothing. As I round the
corner of the rustic stone lodge I catch smiles from familiar
faces.
