Program Director
Yolanda G. Santos has been working with the Lone Star
Council since 1990, when she began working with our teen program, SAFUR. She has
been the Director of 21st Century Community
Learning Center (21st CCLC) programs for the Lone Star Council since the
program began (in the summer of 2001). Her office is at Greiner Middle School in
northwest Oak Cliff, which is in the area that the council’s 21st
CCLC funding supports. Through her guidance, the 21st CCLC
provides after school programs to youth in several schools throughout the DISD.
She also oversees the Community Family Clubs that operate out of these sites.
Thanks to Yolanda’s leadership, the Lone Star Council has doubled the number of
Latino families that it has served since 2001!
