Camp Fire USA Lone Star Council
With the mission
to “build caring, confident youth and
future leaders,” Camp Fire USA Lone Star Council provides
youth development programs for boys and girls,
ages 5 to 21, in the Greater Dallas
area. These programs include after-school care for young children,
leadership and workforce development for teens, family strengthening
programs and weekend and summer camping and outdoor education.
The Lone Star
Council is focused on meeting the urgent needs of youth living in
low-income apartment communities or attending low-performing
schools.
The majority of Camp Fire USA programs are offered at little or no
cost. Our
programs build traditional values, responsible decision-making
skills and positive self images for youth.
Camp Fire USA
is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit
youth development organization. Serving Dallas since 1913, the Lone
Star Council has been a
United Way
agency since 1924.
