Camp
Ellowi is the Lone Star Council’s camp in Cedar Hill, Texas. Located
in southwest Dallas County, the 65- acre camp contains cabins,
platform tents, a main lodge, unit lodges, swimming pool, bath
house, restrooms, outside assembly areas, playing field, challenge
course, archery range, basketball court, and sand
volleyball court.

CAMPING OPPORTUNITIES
DESCRIPTION
Offered in weekly
sessions Monday through Friday during the summer. Activities include
swimming lessons, recreational swimming, archery, sports and games, crafts,
etc. Open to all boys and girls ages 6-15, including program and non-program
members of Camp Fire.
Week-long day camp experiences for economically disadvantaged children at
Camp Ellowi. Camping activities are directed by professional staff, trained adult volunteers,
and members of the Lone Star Council’s Teens in Action programs. Various foundations, corporations and civic
groups fund these camps.
Open
Camping
Available
to all registered Camp Fire clubs and groups. With their
trained leaders, youth can plan their own programs and explore Ellowi!
Groups must provide their own meals. Reservations are made by filling out the Program
Event Registration form and mailing it with the full fee two weeks prior to
the date desired. Camping fee is $2.50 per person per night. Check out the

Camp Rentals
Camp Ellowi is also available to rent for open camping to family or
reunions, schools, clubs, churches or other organizations on any Open
Camping dates throughout the year. Contact
